Our rabbits

Five dual-purpose breeds — meat and show — kept in a registered ARBA rabbitry. Two of them are Livestock Conservancy heritage breeds.

We are members of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Our rabbitry is run to ARBA standards, and our sales follow a written policy — read it before you ask about a rabbit.

Our first State Fair rabbit show

· Oklahoma State Fair Rabbit Show, Rabbit Posse of Oklahoma

In September we took rabbits to the Oklahoma State Fair for the first time, entering the Rabbit Posse of Oklahoma show. We came home with ribbons, and we were thrilled with the results and saw so many beautiful rabbits. We didn't get photos of Ray and Bruno with their winnings. Here is how it went:

  • Devil, our senior New Zealand White buck, bred by TLM Rabbitry, won Best Opposite Sex of Breed under two different judges, against some tough New Zealand competition.
  • Ray, our Flemish Giant buck, won Best of Breed. There was limited competition in his class.
  • Bruno, our Argente Brun buck, won Best of Breed. There was limited competition in his class too.

Breeding

We breed for temperament, growth rate, and mothering ability first — show points second. Litters are planned, not accidental, and kits are handled daily from the day their eyes open so they leave here used to people.
